Try it: point a phone camera here. It offers to save Leena as a contact.

Why you might need it

iPhone to Android, and back

NameDrop is great between two iPhones, and stops there. A QR code is read by every phone camera.

You choose what to share

Your personal card, your work card, or just one link. Show only the one that fits the moment.

Change it in seconds

New number or job title? Edit, save, and your QR is up to date. Nothing to reprint.

Privacy

Your card.Your phone.Nowhere else.

Cardshare has no accounts and no database. What you type is saved in your phone's browser, and it reaches other people only when they scan your screen. It's your data, on your device.

No account

There is nothing to sign up for, so there is no profile, no password and nothing to leak.

Kept on your phone

Your cards and links are saved in your phone's browser. No copy exists anywhere else.

Phone to phone

The QR carries your details from your screen to their camera. Nothing passes through Cardshare.

No trackers

No analytics, no ads, no tracking cookies. Even the fonts come from Cardshare itself, not from another company.

Works in flight mode

Once it's on your phone, Cardshare works with no signal. Switch to flight mode and your QR still shows.

Yours to delete

Clear this site's data in your browser settings and your cards are gone. There is no copy for anyone to delete.

Where things do go

  • Link and payment QRs open that service on the other person's phone (Instagram, Monzo, a UPI app and so on), which sees the visit as it would any other.
  • Opening Cardshare loads its files from the web host, like any website. Your card is never sent with them.
  • Feedback from this page opens GitHub, where what you post is public.
  • The teams waitlist sends what you type in it to Cardshare by email, through Web3Forms, a form service.

Your cards

Two cards, checked as you type

A Personal card and a Work card, each with your name, title, company, mobile and email. Mistakes are caught before they reach anyone's contacts.

  • Any country. The country code comes from your phone's settings. Tap it to change, or type + and a code.
  • Numbers formatted as you type, held to the right length, with a stray leading 0 removed.
  • Email checked. A missing @ is caught, and a typo like gmial.com comes with a one-tap fix.
  • A QR that scans. If your card gets too long for an easy scan, Cardshare shows what to shorten.

Sharing

Saved to their phone in one scan

  1. Add your details

Name, number, email. One card for personal, one for work.

  2. Show your QR

Tap Share and hold up your phone. It works with no signal.

  3. They point their camera

Their phone offers to save you. They need no app, on iPhone or Android.

Get paid

Take payments with a scan

Add your payment links once. When someone owes you, show the QR and they pay on their own phone.

Monzo

Your monzo.me page. Type an amount on the Share screen and the QR updates as you type.

UPI

Read by Google Pay, PhonePe, Paytm and any UPI app. Add an amount in rupees, or let them enter it.

Revolut

Your revolut.me page. They choose the amount when it opens.

Stripe

Paste a Stripe payment link and they pay at its checkout, at the price you set in Stripe.

The payment happens on that service, between them and you. Cardshare never touches the money and never sees the payment.

Make it yours

Feels like an app. Isn't one.

Four themes

Midnight, Daylight, Ocean and Ember, from the round button beside the logo.

On your home screen

iPhone: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Android: open the browser menu, then Install app. It opens like any other app.

No signal needed

Your QRs come from the phone itself, so they show in a basement, on a plane or abroad.

For teams Coming soon

Work cards your organisation manages

Give everyone a Work card that is always right, without anyone typing it in.

  • Filled in for them. Add your people from a spreadsheet, and their Work card appears when they sign in.
  • Your logo on Share. The Work card shows your organisation's logo and colour when it's shown.
  • Always up to date. New title, new number, new office: change it once and every card follows.
  • Leavers removed. When someone leaves, their Work card goes with them.
  • Personal stays personal. Everyone's Personal card stays on their own phone, never with us or their employer.

Planned from £1 per person a month.

Questions

Is it free?

Yes. There is no paid plan and no trial. If it helps you, you can buy me a beer.

Does the other person need anything?

No. Their phone camera reads the QR and offers to save you, on iPhone or Android.

Can Cardshare see my details?

No. There is no server that receives them and no account to attach them to. They are saved in your phone's browser and travel only inside the QR you show.

Can I share more than my number?

Yes. Add your website, WhatsApp, LinkedIn, Instagram, X, YouTube, TikTok, Facebook, Telegram, Spotify and a link of your own, then tap Links to show a QR for any one of them.

Can people pay me with it?

Yes. Add Monzo, Revolut, a Stripe payment link or a UPI ID under My card, then Links. For Monzo and UPI you can type an amount just before you show the QR.

Why does the number field show a country code?

So your number works when someone in another country saves it. Cardshare picks your country from your phone's settings. Tap the code to change it, or type + and a code.

How do I delete everything?

In your browser's settings, clear the website data for Cardshare. Your cards and links are gone, and there is no copy anywhere else.

How do I keep it on my phone?

iPhone: tap Share, then Add to Home Screen. Android: open the browser menu, then Install app. It opens like any other app, even with no signal.

What if I change phones?

Your cards live only on the phone you made them on, so you would type them in again on the new one. It takes about a minute.
